Amidst speculation and rumors that she portrays a negative character in this Ajith Kumar-starrer, Regina confidently addressed the buzz, stating, “Don’t jump to conclusions based on the trailer. Every actor in *Vidaamuyarchi* plays a significant role, and my character has various layers. The audience should avoid making assumptions and experience the film firsthand in theaters.”
Regina Cassandra, known for her dedication and versatility, has once again proven her mettle as a committed artist. She revealed that she underwent extensive preparation to deliver a compelling performance in the film. Reflecting on how she came on board, Regina shared, “Initially, Magizh sir approached me for a different role. A week later, I received a call from his office offering me this particular character, which I gladly accepted.”
The actress also highlighted the challenges posed by time and climatic conditions during filming. “When we were shooting in Azerbaijan, we had to be extremely mindful of the timing because the sunset occurred earlier than usual, especially since we were filming on a hilltop. Magizh sir and the entire crew meticulously planned the schedule, and we managed to complete the shots just in time,” she explained.
Regina also shared her experience of working with veteran actor Arjun, fondly known as the “Action King.” Recounting a memorable incident, she said, “There was an intense action sequence involving three Georgian stuntmen. Arjun sir walked onto the set, took inputs from the stunt master, and performed the sequence flawlessly in a single take. The stuntmen were in awe and even asked about his age, only to be amazed by his energy and precision.”
Speaking about her co-star Ajith Kumar, Regina described him as an “adrenaline junkie” who balances his calm demeanor with a passion for action. “Despite his serene exterior, Ajith sir is full of energy. From breaking the ice on the first day to becoming a great friend by the end of the shoot, he was incredibly humble and approachable throughout,” she added.
