In a major update for Tamil cinema fans, actor Ravi Mohan (popularly known as Jayam Ravi) has officially joined the shoot of the much-awaited action thriller Benz.
The film, which is part of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe), stars Raghava Lawrence in the lead role as the vigilante ‘Benz’. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj personally narrated the script to Ravi Mohan and designed a powerful parallel protagonist role for him, making this a dual-hero project alongside Raghava Lawrence.
Shooting for Benz has been progressing since May 2025 under the direction of Bakkiyaraj Kannan, with Lokesh Kanagaraj contributing the story and screenplay. Malayalam star Nivin Pauly is playing the menacing antagonist Walter, while Samyuktha Menon is the female lead. Ravi Mohan’s entry has added significant buzz to the project, with recent pictures from the set showing the cast in high-energy sequences. The actor is expected to bring intense mass moments and strong screen presence to the film.
Fans are thrilled with this latest development in the LCU, as Benz is shaping up to be one of the biggest multi-starrer action entertainers of 2026. The addition of Ravi Mohan is said to have elevated the stakes, with strong hints that his character will also connect to future LCU films.
