Nesippaya is about a man’s willingness to do anything for love - Akash Murali

Actor Akash Murali is gearing up for the release of his debut film Nesippaya, directed by Vishnuvardhan and produced by Xavier Britto of XB Film Creators. The film is slated for a worldwide release on January 14, 2025, and expectations are running high.

Sharing his thoughts ahead of the release, Akash said, “I’m having butterflies in my stomach and can’t seem to calm down until I hear the audience’s and critics’ reactions. However, I am already overwhelmed by the positive responses we’ve received for the visual promos and songs. I’m looking forward to seeing how people connect with the full-length feature film.”

The trailer has revealed a stellar ensemble cast and showcased grand production values, sparking curiosity about the story. Speaking about the film, Akash explained, “The plot is simple yet emotionally powerful. Nesippaya is about a man’s willingness to go to any extreme for the sake of his love.”

Reflecting on his experience working on the film, Akash said, “I’m still in a surreal state. Getting the opportunity to work with a filmmaker of Vishnuvardhan sir’s caliber—especially after his incredible success in Bollywood—is an absolute blessing. Aditi (Shankar) has been a fantastic co-star. She’s always eager to explore new dimensions in her performances.”

He added, “Another unforgettable experience was working with the immensely talented Kalki Koechlin. I’m equally grateful to share screen space with industry legends like Prabhu sir, Sarath Kumar sir, and Khushboo ma’am—actors I grew up admiring on the big screen.”

Nesippaya is produced by Xavier Britto under the banner of XB Film Creators and co-produced by Sneha Britto. With an emotional storyline, a strong cast, and Vishnuvardhan’s vision, the film is poised to make a strong impact this Pongal.
