One Year of 'Lal Salaam' : Still Awaits OTT Release

February 9 marked one year since Lal Salaam, starring Rajinikanth in a pivotal role, hit theaters. Despite high expectations, the film, directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, failed to make a significant impact at the box office across all languages. Featuring Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant in lead roles, the movie was anticipated to be a major release but fell short of expectations.  

A year later, Lal Salaam remains unavailable on any OTT platform, leaving fans puzzled. Netflix had acquired its digital rights before the theatrical release, but no official announcement regarding its streaming debut has been made. Aishwarya Rajinikanth later disclosed that a crucial hard disk containing key scenes was lost, causing delays in the OTT release.  

Months after the incident, she confirmed that the hard disk had been recovered and assured fans that the OTT release would follow soon. However, there has been no update since. Interestingly, the film recently had its television premiere in Hindi, sparking speculation about its digital future. Fans are now left wondering if the makers have any plans for an OTT release or if the film will remain elusive on streaming platforms.  

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is busy with his upcoming projects, Coolie and Jailer 2, keeping his fans eagerly awaiting his next big-screen appearances.
