Karuppu is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action-drama fantasy film directed by RJ Balaji in his major directorial venture. The story revolves around a lawyer named Saravanan who gets possessed by the powerful deity Karuppasamy, turning him into a superhuman vigilante who fights injustice, corruption, and the broken justice system affecting marginalized communities. It cleverly blends courtroom drama, high-octane action sequences, Tamil mythology, and social thriller elements into a high-voltage entertainer rooted in folklore.
The film stars Suriya in the lead role with Trisha Krishnan, RJ Balaji, Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Yogi Babu, and Supreeth Reddy in key roles. Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, with music by Sai Abhyankkar, it has a runtime of about 152 minutes and is set for a worldwide theatrical release on 14 May 2026 in Tamil and Telugu (titled Veerabhadrudu).
