Angikaaram is a 2026 Tamil sports drama film directed by Thenpathiyan. It marks the acting debut of Kotapadi J Rajesh who plays an underprivileged gifted runner from a Chennai slum. Inspired by true events the story follows the athlete who earns a Commonwealth Games spot only to have it denied due to corruption and political interference by a sports body and a powerful minister. He then fights back through the court system for justice and recognition.
The film features Viji Venkatesh as the Advocate General, Mansoor Ali Khan as the minister, Sindhoori Vishwanath and Rangaraj Pandey in supporting roles. Music is composed by Ghibran and it was released on 26 June 2026 with a runtime of about two hours and twenty minutes.
