Gatta Kusthi 2 is the sequel to the 2022 Tamil hit film of the same name and continues the story of Veera and Keerthi, played once again by Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi. Directed and written by Chella Ayyavu, the film picks up after the events of the first part and focuses on the couple as they navigate married life, parenthood and Keerthi’s wrestling career. It features a humorous role reversal where Veera takes on more domestic responsibilities while wholeheartedly supporting his wife’s ambitions, blending family emotions, comedy and light societal pressures into an entertaining narrative.
The movie also stars Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Karunas, Munishkanth, Kaali Venkat and others in key supporting roles, with music composed by Sean Roldan. With a runtime of around two hours and thirty-three minutes, Gatta Kusthi 2 is positioned as a heartfelt family entertainer that retains the fun and emotional tone of its predecessor. It released in theatres worldwide on 3 July 2026 and is expected to stream later on Netflix in multiple languages.
